Happy Halloween!

Happy Halloween everyone!

That's right, I applied to Gamestop. One reason is that I need a job really bad! I'm feeling jealously because everyone I know has a job and they could afford even the smallest things. I was like, "I NEED A JOB!". Gamestop....well...I'm a gamer, and I do love video games, why not? I'm over 16, so I am probably able to get the job done. I'm only doing this because of 1)Money and 2)Curiosity. I wonder how it feels like to work at a video game store, you give advice to avid gamers about what's good and what sucks. I always count on Gamespot for that, but sometime their reviews can get too biased. I'm working on the weekends since I need to be at school, and homework can be a pushover for me. Looks like my relax fridays aren't going to be relaxing anymore since I need to do some work. I told my teacher and she was concerned that this is "dangerous". She saying that as soon as I get money, I am going to spend on a video game rather than spend it on college tuition and everything. I ain't worried about that since I might get a lot of help from financial aid.

Life is going swell, my grades are near-perfect and I don't have any D's nor F's. Woo Hoo! This is going to be easy street for me, and I should have done this routine a long time ago. When I was a freshman, I was considered your "college-bound student". I was lost since I came from middle school, which was so excited. It felt like high school, and didn't felt like middle school at all. I couldn't understand ":teenage culture" since "shut-up" doesn't neccesarily mean to be quiet until the end of the day. I learned the hard way, as you can see. My grades were decaying like old women, and becomes a balance between good and bad. I was trying, and I managed to get by without a scratch. I'm been planning to go to Humboldt State University, and it's up north in Arcata, CA. It's way next to the Oregon state border. According to MapQuest (I like going there!), it takes about 10 hours and 30 mins to get from Inglewood to Arcata. It's extremely far, but I would manage if I took a plane there. Next choices would also be Cal State Long Beach, San Jose State University, and UCLA. I love UCLA, the setting, the enviorment. The oh-so happy people, feeling great about getting a degree and standing on top. Someday, I will feel like that.

I had to go to UCLA last saturday, but I couldn't manage to get there. I woke up late, and my mom was pissed that she had to drive all the way to SAMO, so that Xinachtli students could pick me up. I was a few minutes tardy, and I knew they left without me. It was really important since it's a workshop at UCLA about the UC Applications. These application are really hectic, especially the Personal Statement section of the application. You have to write an essay and these can get tricky. You have to be all careful of what you write and it could stir consideration of those application judges. I just hope I get those done on time.

I don't know what I should be for Halloween. I was considering El Chapulin Colorado, or a Umpa Lumpa from Willy Wonka and the Chocolate Factory. People like the Umpa Lumpa idea since it's funny that a tall person like me can dress up as one, and people can get a kick out of it. I've seen other one's as well, SRG had a somewhat custome of El Dia de los Muertos (Day of the Dead), were he had his face painted like the drawn skeletons of the painting. It was cool, he had the blanket with gray and black, and he had the straw sombrero as well. He also had an acoustic guitar, and he was singing Sublime and some Metallica. It was cool! I've seen someone dressed as a hippie, a 1980's drug-addicted rocker, A Big Daddy sheriff like the one's on the Village people, with a fake moustage and a pink ribbon tied to his neck (I was laughing!), A couple of nurses, a Hooters girl, a guy with a Taco Bell taco on this head and has a barrel over his body. I can go on and on. Let's not forget Fook Mi and Fook Yu! Anyway, I really looking forward this evening of screaming from monsters popping out of nowhere. Let's hope it turns out swell!

Grades.....

Man, it's been really hectic this pass week. I only have 2 A's, 2 D's and a C. The other one, I didn't receive a grade yet, even though I did something on that class. Physiology is not looking good for me, mostly because the quizzes are hard. However, I need to manage a B so I can some good news out of my parents, even the colleges. It's always a rough start for me, dealing with escaping summer vacation and actually going back to college. C'mon, it's senior year, I need to work hard to get those grades for college admissions!

This little kid I know has a thing for being a nuisance. Oh my god, does he bug me to death. This little 7th grader can't deal with the fact that the deal was a phony. It's a long story, so I'm going to make this short. Jimmy (Making him "Anonymous") is selling magazine subscriptions for fundraising to his school. He approaches me and explain all the magazines he is selling. I was interested in this one magazine ("PC Gamer Magazine" BTW!), and I said with sarcasm "Cool". He bought it, I mean I wouldn't have the money to get those magazines. $20.00 to me is alot of money, especially as a senior ;p. Anywho, just to make alittle kick out of him, I challenge him to a pool match. There was a pool table availiable, and so we grabbed our sticks (Don't be perverted!) and we played pool. I was winning him, just by a few balls until I accidently shot the 8 ball into the corner pocket. I couldn't believe, and it dreads me to this day. Jimmy bugs me everyday to pay up, even though I don't have the money. He's making a proposition for me, and he does everything to get money. He says that a quarter a day can keep the blues away, I was like "Screw you!". I wish I never did that at all, but I end up doing something stupid when I am half-asleep.

BTW, that's the little kid in the left, the one with the long hair! Annoying little kid!

The Names......

It's a weird thing that teachers don't quite remember my name, and usually I am the one that corrects them all the time. Just today, my Algebra II teacher called me "Ian". Now, she isn't the only teacher that mispronounced my name. I had some other teachers that called me Ian as well. However, the wretched thing was that I used to have a classmate named Ian. The teacher would then call me Ian, and the other Ivan. I was like GOD, what's with the name changes?! I wouldn't blame them, mostly I was correct them. It's no big deal, just another reason why it's hard to memorize so many names in one time.

Not new so far, it just feels like the same old days like the first day of school. I have this trust with my classes, because somehow my classes are like my best yet. I have these wonderful teachers who I would spent maybe a year with these good people. Some of them I might not see them until the middle of the year. This is a grand spanking new year for me to succeed, but I wonder when Xinachtli is going to come in on the action. Speaking of Xinachtli, someone told me about a movie night tomorrow. It's like this, I am going to the UCLA campus and we are there to watch a movie (a documentary I presume). I have to make sure if that is conformed, since I don't want to be the victim of fraud. I know how that feels like. Band practices are beginning to be rare to me. My buddies and I haven't reunited to play some songs in the past Saturdays, and I think it's time to make another practice session to happen again. It's often times where I would do something else like helping my dad with his job, or cleaning the house up. Those two I dislike, unless my dad's job gets me paid. I wouldn't consider to be a high pay, but it's good that I have some money to go around anyway. I really can't wait for that Back to School Night, because one of my teachers, Mr. Jimenez had a past with my aunts, uncle, and my mom. As you can see, I am a legacy (meaning a student who have relatives that graduated and attended the same school) at SAMOHI. My mother graduated in 1979 (Same year that Pink Floyd's The Wall was released). My uncle and aunts graduated years later. I am not really sure, but my mother told memories about her sister and her friend singing to Mr. Jimenez on the bottom near his window. Think of the famous balcony scene from Shakespeare Romeo and Juliet, and think of them singing to my teacher. It was weird especially these teacher-student relationship that my mother used to explain to me. Today, I told Mr. Jimenez after class if he remembered the names of my aunts and my mom. He said, "Oh yes, well....Tell them I said "Hi!" ". Right now, at the PYFC, I am going to say forward the greeting to Mom, as long as if she is going to pick me up though.

I am not much consider a "blogger".....

I am not much considered a “blogger”, rather as a poster. I do love going to the G4TV forums since there is a distinct communication between gamers and folks that love to join in on conversations. Sometimes, the posters would “flame” (Like to go angry at) people for adding topics that don’t have an interest on the people in the forums. I’ve recently added a topic about me getting a “The Screen Savers” shirt. This shirt is unique, because these shirts are mostly made for employees and supporters of G4 television. I had this sense of overwhelming that I didn’t know the outcome of the people. I’ve waited for a few minutes just for other posters to respond to my topic. One poster replied that he doesn’t care. OK, maybe that wasn’t good. More and more people respond and also had the same negative respond. “No one cares” is the most common, in my opinion. Somehow, that overwhelming sensation got lost to me and felt this great feeling of anger. So, I “flamed”! I responded them with a negative response with them saying fuck you to them. As more and more people respond, some of the responses were positive. Some of the positive responses were people who were eager to see these shirts. It took me awhile to get those pictures taken because, again, of my overwhelming sensation.

I remember this one poster who was annoyed by my “bumping” (meaning to boost your post count, or get people to listen in since no one has respond within 5 minutes or so). Anyway, he told me to stop “bumping” the thread and stop making stupid responds over and over. I, didn’t like what he was doing, so I told him to fuck off! He then called me stupid and other people give these rude respond, one of them calling me a dumb ass. I finally showed my pictures, and still got negative responds. I tell you, I was fed up! I then told a moderator to lock the topic up so that no one will “bump” or post in it anymore. Finally, it was locked and for good riddance. It’s a lesson learn when your at a forum, one of them is that people don’t care about what people have. No one give a damn about my shirts and I didn’t care either. However, there have been some topics that were so unusual that people “flame” just to make it worse for the original poster of the topic. Sometimes, people don’t understand what’s old and what’s new. I saw this one topic about “Numa Numa” which was some random guy who lip-synchs in front of a web cam, and sing to everyone. It reached to one million views within a few weeks on Newgrounds.com. I know that some of you know this already, so I think you get the picture. Anyhow, people’s respond to the topic was in fact funny. One of the posters added a picture of an elderly woman, another said that “it’s older than the dinosaurs”, and I respond, “It’s older than your mom’s vagina”. I don’t know why since everyone took the best negative respond that I could use.

School is going really swell, thinking about the good events that will happen on my senior year. Prom, Grad Nite, and Graduation are memories that I would cherish forever. It’s consider to be life-changing, and it’s breathe taking as well. I heard conformation that the prom will take place at the Beverly Hills Hilton Hotel. Last year was at Sony Studios, which I think is a better location than the others. I am just curious how the studios would look like, because I’ve seen the outside and the gates like so many times when I would past through them on the streets. I’ve never seen the Hilton hotel so it’s going to be tough to search the place. I just can’t wait for June 2006 to reach, and maybe be able to get accepted to colleges that I hope to enter soon.

Schedule

Yes, I've finally fixed my schedule. But it was funny, my A period class was, in my opinion, the best since the teacher is hella tight. But, I don't have him any more and it sucks though. Anyway, my schedule looks more like this:

1. U.S. Gov't
2. Physiology
3. Digital Design
4. AVID
5. Chican@ Lit.
6. Algebra II

Finally, I don't have to face the horrors of waking up early and getting to class on time. I also don't have that Heather Graham look alike that used to be my Algebra 2 teacher for one day!

My First Day of School!

YES! We are finally seniors! After 3 years in high school of hard work and sacrifice, we finally made it to the big tops. I would guarantee myself that this year will go off in a blast! However, the first day seemed so-so and I have classes that are really swell. I even have a math teacher that looks like freaking Heather Graham! Now, the schedule that I received look like this

A. US Gov't
1. Algebra 2
2. Physiology
3. Digital Design
4. AVID 12
5. Chican@ Lit.
6. Food Service Co-Op

Now, what I don't understand is this! Why do I have an AM class? Why do I need that many classes! That's 7 classes, and to tell you the truth, I don't really need food service! I would rather switch my US Gov't to 6 period! If that would work, then I will be happy! Tomorrow, I might as well take myself to the Advisor's office to drop out food service, so I don't have to get an AM class. I am NOT willing to wake up at 6:00AM to get to this class, and it starts at 7:12AM! I live in Inglewood, and the traffic is awful on the 405, heck, even the streets are hectic as well! I promised that my senior year to be smooth like butter! I just need to get this fix, and everything will be swell!

First Post

I'm just testing this out. I like this, feels more sophisticated. Well, I hope how this Blogger thing turns out. Everyone uses Google, right?
